Politics in the Workplace
The Politics of this era is very different from the one that most of us know today!
Views"Americans had rarely considered their government to be neutral; they believed that it should stand by as a powerful instrument of positive support when needed. " (5)
They wanted the government to step in with the immigrant issue, the monopolies that were being created, their jobs and their safety and then the seemingly lack of control that the government had over the industrial revolution. |

Americans needed the help of their government, but it wasn't going to happen overnight! They would have to control and set regulations for everything so that everyone and thing would be treated equally under the la! |
Politics in the Industry of Machines
Not only did the people of America have so many politics and regulations outside of work, they had them inside out their very own factories as well.
These and other regulations were commonly found within the walls of the factories. So stating that you can ever be late or leave early, how to dress, and when to talk and even when not too!
This real-life document to the left shows some regulations in a mill that tell how the workers are to behave and to be disciplined. It even states that some of their rules posted pertain to rules outside of their working environment. They were supposed to follow these rules to the letter or else their jobs would be lost! (4).
